Five Things You Should Know About Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

By jameson simpson

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a serious and debilitating illness which can affect all aspects of a persons life. There is no known case or cure for this disease as of yet. It is just now starting to be accepted as a legitimate illness my mainstream medicine. If you believe you have CFS or have been diagnosed by a doctor, there are certain things you can to ease your symptoms and rule out other illnesses as the cause of your fatigue. The first thing you need to do if you believe you have CFS is get a physical. Try to find a Chronic Fatigue Specialist who works with both Traditional and Alternative Methods. If you cant find a doctor like this local to you, you might have do some convincing and persuade you doctor to do specific lab tests along with the standard physical tests. Make sure your Doctor tests you for thyroid problems (specifically T3 and T4), adrenal disorders (cortisol and DHEA), and test to see if you are anemic. These are the most common problems that mimic Chronic Fatigue. If these tests come back negative you may have to explore non-traditional methods of treating CFS. For example check for Vitamin Deficiencies, Heavy Metal Toxicity (including mercury filling removal), Glutathione Depletion, Anti-Oxidant function, and Bacterial, Viral, and Fungal Infections. It is important to talk to other people with CFS so you can find out what treatments they have tried, where to find a good doctor in your local area, and also to give you emotional support. I created a website for this purpose ChronicFatigueTreatments.com. It have an active messageboard where you can talk to others about your illness. I also have My Blog where you can read about all the treatments i have personally undergone, what vitamins and supplements help me, and my current progress.
